What I found though going the cheapest isn’t always the most reliable. There’s nothing worse than wasting hours, days or money on cheaper unreliable options that leave you in sticky situations.

So here is a list of all the tools, companies and services I now use to make life a whole lot easier

My new #1 go to flight search engine. I have found the Momondo to have the largest database of airlines online so it finds the cheapest option


Skyscanner is my #2 go to flight search engine. The best feature is the “To Anywhere” option showing you the cheapest countries to fly to.

This is a little more advanced and confusing, but fun to play around with. Created from Google, this scrapes every flight in the world.

My most preferred way to travel abroad. Taxi Drivers love to take long routes to up fares, not anymore with Uber. Live tracking routes is the best!

Google Maps

A simple yet super effective app for not only driving, but for catching public transport aswell! One of the most used apps in my phone.

Rome 2 Rio

This search engine takes into consideration for Ferrys, Busses, Planes, Trains, you name it, it has it. Very good guide to getting around.

Maps Me is the best offline maps app on the market place right now, and it’s free! So handy when you’re traveling to new places with no data
